This aperture series from f/1.4 to f/9 assesses sharpness across across-the-frame at very far distance, achieving results that show how careful focus placement matters.
I would have loved to have shot this in pixel shift mode, but even with crystal-clear air with an AQI of zero, atmospheric temperature distortions (which can be seen to distortion the image from frame-to-frame) make pixel shift problematic.
