Distortion for Sigma 35mm f/2 DG DN

Without correction, barrel distortion of the Sigma FE 35mm f/2 DG DN Contemporary results in pronounced warping as shown below. Compare to the Voigtlander FE 35mm f/2 APO-Lanthar Aspherical.
As an all-arounder that might well be used for 'street' shooting indoors and out, this level of distortion is to my eyes unacceptable on a wide range of subjects, which means it will have to be corrected via distortion correction, which means a guaranteed inferior micro contrast in outer zones. For a 35mm lens, it is particularly unacceptable to me because a 35mm is to my eye the most natural looking focal length of all. A 35mm lens should have minimal distortion as a priority IMO, such as with the Zeiss Loxia 35mm f/2 Biogon. See the crops further below.
