Sony A7R V Pixel Shift: 16-Shot vs 4-Shot vs Single-Shot: Dolls
This page looks at f/4, f/5.6, f/8 performance on colorful highly detailed static subject matter using 16-shot, 4-shot, single shot, and single-shot enhanced images at an equivalent enlargement of 360 megapixels.
Whether such results can be obtained outdoors remains to be seen at the time I prepared this page. But the results on static subjects are incredible.
Lighting held constant (indoors and at night) using a 24 X 12 inch 15500 lux LUXLI Taiko remote phosphor LED at 5800°K. The light quality is fantastic and the total light output of is astonishing, taking only 250 watts at full output, which drowns out every light in my house by a huge factor.
Below, this is an actual pixels crop from a 360-megapixel image made with 16-shot Sony pixel shift (240 megapixels upsampled to 360 megapixels).
