Fujifilm X-Pro2 Firmware Update Fixes Settings-Reset Glitch

Get Fujifilm X-Pro2 at B&H Photo.

Fujifilm X-Pro2

The settings-reset glitch which bit me is stated to now be fixed in the Fujifilm 1.01 firmware update for the X-Pro2.

The characterization of the issues as “rare” has been true for me—the glitch only happened that one first time on the first day of use, and did not happen again over a week of shooting.

Detail of the update

The firmware update Ver. 1.01 from Ver.1.00 incorporates the following issues:

1. The Phenomenon is fixed that in rare cases, established customized menu settings are reset to factory default setting when the camera is turned off.

2. Improvement of image quality when shooting in the long exposure mode.

The firmware update went smoothly [how to do it]. One thing I appreciate is that the firmware update can be done in camera (as with Nikon and Canon DSLRs), and that it does not reset the camera to factory default settings (as does Olympus does).
