Waiting on an Olympus OM-D E-M5 Body to Test Lenses
Seems like Olympus has hit a home-run with the OM-D E-M5; the camera is largely sold out, but it seems that B&H expects a shipment fairly soon. I am waiting for my own camera body (ordered and paid for) so I can continue my review.
See my gear page for Olympus camera bodies and recommended lenses.
In Micro 4/3 Cameras Make the Grade, I mentioned the Olympus Super High Grade (SHG) lenses, and then followed up with Olympus Super High Grade (SHG) Lenses for 4/3 and Micro 4/3 MFT.
I now have a number of Olympus and Panasonic lenses in hand, but all sit idle until that E-M5 body shows up. In my estimation, the Olympus SHG lenses are built to standards that equal or exceed comparable Nikon and Canon lenses. Very impressive build quality.
As shown below, the E-M5 has a zoom on it; the camera slims down when the compact and lightweight but outstanding 12mm f/2 is mounted, or any one of the pancake lenses.
