Case Study of Focus Error Added to Making Sharp Images
Just added to Making Sharp Images is a new case study showing focus error with the Leica M+ 50/1.4 Summilux. The study shows that even at a distance of ~50 feet, an error of just a few feet can ruin the sharpness unless the lens is stopped down by 3-4 apertures.
Although the study was shot with the Leica M9, the same findings apply to any type of camera.
